We went to the Purim carnival this past weekend and the kids got dressed up. We had a lot of fun and Jordyn got her picture in the online version of the journal news.

Long time no see

So I havn’t posted anything in a long time, and we achieved a few firsts recently and thought it was high time I update the old blog.

Tonight was the first time Zachary and Jordyn went to sleep in Jordyns bed together. I just went to check on them and they are so cute. Like a miniture married couple.

Jordyn went ice scating today. She has been a half dozzen times in the last few weeks, has had 2 lessons and is fantastic. She first was exposed to ice skating at her cousin Ellas birthday party last month i think. She was amazing (or so I was told). The following weekend we went as a family again and I was able to see her first hand. She litterally pulled me around the ice.

She is now able to twirl and spin and glide and she cruises around the ice without holding anyones hand.

We are so proud of her.

Also, Zachary is pretty much potty trained at this point. We take him and he will go to the bathroom, but he is just barely starting to let US know when HE needs to go rather then us trying to preempt it. The boy will piss on anything with a target though.

Today is 3 days before the deadline Karen put on Zachary. No more diapers after he is 3 years old. Somehow we both came to the same realization that today was the day. Zachary started off the day rebelling against underwear.

Zachary and I together made a chart, Zachary’s Potty Chart. Every time he goes Pee-Pee on the Potty, he gets a sticker. a doodie gets him 2 stickers. For every 10 stickers, he gets a toy from the toy store that he can pick out.

We had 3 accidents, but he also earned 3 stickers, so I guess we are 3 of 6 for the day. We bought him new underwear, and by the end of the day he was excited to be wearing underwear.

The Commercial

We found out this week that the kids are going to be in a commercial during the Super Bowl.  They are shooting this Thursday in our bathtub for a product called Puddle Pals.

SpongeTech’s new “Puddle Pals” product is based on the company’s cutting-
edge SpongeTech Delivery System technology but made into different fun shapes
and colors especially for kids. The company has already received excellent
retail customer feedback and response on the new “Puddle Pals” product line.
People love the new shapes and colors and the fact that the “Puddle Pals”
product is 99.8% bacterial resistant is a big hit. The germs can’t get in, but
the soap can get out.
The “Puddle Pals” product lasts as long as 5 bars of soap plus it doesn’t
get dirty if kids drop it on the floor. Retail buyers said they loved that
product feature. Plus, with the mesh back, kids won’t be able to tear it, or
bite through it, and the “Puddle Pals” products are infused with a gentle no-
tear, non-irritating anti-bacterial soap.

Karen told Zachary he was going to be in a commercial on TV, and he said he didn’t want to be “In the TV”. We will let you know how it goes.

Funny things the kids are saying

Zachary was with us in Costco the other day and some how his shoe came off. He asked me to put it back on for him and as I bent down to put it on, he told me to smell it :)

Normally in the morning we all leave together. Karen takes me to the train and then drops the kids at school. I was working from home one day this week and decided not to drop them at school. As they where leaving I said goodbye and told them I wasn’t coming. Jordyn responded with: “Seriously?”

Karen called me at work the other day to tell me a story about Zachary. Apparently he found her in the office to show her what he had done in the kitchen. He had pulled a stool over to the counter where he found a glass of lemonade that Karen made. He added more lemonaid to the glass (and the counter) and stirred it before drinking.

“Can we discuss this at home” - Jordyn

“You called me Jordyn” - Zachary to Daddy

“You’re beautiful” - Zachary to Mommy as she sleeps.

First Visit from Santa

Today is Christmas and the first Christmas that Santa Claus came to visit the children. They woke up and discovered that Santa came and left them all sorts of goodies in their Christmas stockings.

They got cars, candy, coloring books, puzzles, and of course candy canes.

Saki had a stocking also. He got a red and white doggie toy.
